The Higher Education Center encourages press coverage on the issue of high-risk drinking and other drug abuse at colleges and universities. This is a problem at many institutions of higher education, yet there are also effective strategies to address the situation. These strategies focus on the environment in which students make decisions about alcohol and other drugs, rather than simply focusing on the individual, as with education and awareness activities.
